Qatar Fabrication Company W.L.L. is currently recruiting for the position of HSES (Health, Safety, Environment, and Security) Technician to be based at their facilities in Al Khor, Qatar. Job Description

The HSES Technician will be integrated into a specialist team responsible for ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations and company policies across the fabrication yards and operational sites. The technician will work closely with various departments to monitor processes and implement preventive programs.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Monitoring & Inspection: Conduct regular site, equipment, and process inspections to verify compliance with local and international HSES standards.
• Risk Assessment: Assist in identifying and assessing occupational safety and environmental hazards in the workplace and recommending appropriate control measures.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to safety and environment.
• Training & Awareness: Support in organizing basic awareness sessions and training for employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
• Reporting: Prepare and document incident reports, investigation findings, and observations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are tracked.
• Equipment Management: Inspect and ensure the serviceability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), firefighting equipment, and emergency systems.
• Operational Support: Provide immediate technical support and advice to operational teams on safety and environmental matters.

Requirements and Qualifications

Qatar Fabrication Company is seeking highly qualified candidates with relevant practical experience.

Essential Qualifications:

• A Diploma or Technical qualification in Health, Safety & Environment, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in HSE (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) will be a significant advantage.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical experience in a similar role (Safety/Environmental Technician) within the manufacturing, oil & gas, or industrial construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of international HSES management systems (e.g., OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Thorough familiarity with local Qatari labor, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail.
