HVAC Supervisor Job - Manama, Bahrain

Trehan International is actively recruiting for the position of HVAC Supervisor to be based in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. This role represents a key leadership position within the maintenance and operations team, where the supervisor will bear the responsibility for directly overseeing the maintenance and operation of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, ensuring they function efficiently, safely, and in compliance with the highest industry standards.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be appointed to lead a team of HVAC technicians and engineers. The core responsibilities of this supervisory role include:

• Supervision & Planning: Leading and directing the on-site HVAC technician team, planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, and allocating daily duties to ensure timely and quality completion.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensuring all work is executed according to technical specifications, building codes, and local and international safety standards. This includes strict adherence to occupational safety procedures to prevent accidents.
• Maintenance & Diagnostics: Supervising periodic inspection processes, diagnosing complex faults within systems (such as central chiller plants, split units, air handling units, ductwork, and control systems), and proposing effective solutions.
• Inventory Management: Assisting in monitoring spare parts and consumable stock levels, ensuring availability for emergency repairs to minimize system downtime.
• Training & Development: Evaluating technician performance, providing necessary guidance, and participating in hands-on training to develop the team's skills.
• Reporting & Communication: Preparing regular reports on work progress, equipment status, and any challenges faced by the team, while maintaining effective communication with facility management and other engineering departments.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this leadership role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a closely related field.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in HVAC system maintenance and operation, with at least 2 years of proven experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of the working principles of various HVAC systems, control systems (Building Automation Control Systems - BACS knowledge is a plus), and the ability to read engineering and electrical drawings.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team motivation abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the capacity for problem-solving under pressure and making swift decisions.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or refrigeration system certifications (e.g., certified refrigerant handling license) is a significant competitive advantage.
• Other: Prior work experience in Bahrain or the GCC region, along with familiarity with local labor laws and regulations, is preferred.
