Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The employee in this position will hold a pivotal role that integrates the functions of internal auditing and accounts management. The primary responsibilities will be as follows:

• Internal Auditing:

  • Effectively plan and execute comprehensive internal audit operations covering the company's financial and operational activities.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control system and risk management.
  • Review financial records and supporting documentation to ensure their accuracy and compliance with local and international policies and accounting standards (such as International Financial Reporting Standards - IFRS).
  • Identify potential weaknesses and risks in operations or financial controls and propose practical recommendations to address them.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports presenting examination findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Follow up on the implementation of recommendations to ensure corrective actions have been taken.

• Accounts Management:

  • Oversee daily, monthly, and annual accounting operations.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
  • Manage account reconciliation processes (e.g., Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank).
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor performance against them.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide necessary financial support and analysis for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory obligations in the UAE.

Qualifications and Core Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are a significant advantage and a priority in selection.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of practical experience in internal auditing and/or financial accounting, with a substantial portion of that experience in a similar work environment in the Gulf region, preferably in the UAE specifically.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
