Job Description and Responsibilities

The appointed Internal Medicine Specialist will be based at a company-affiliated or partner medical facility in the vital industrial area of Sohar. The core responsibilities of the position will include:

• Diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic internal medicine diseases affecting adults.
• Conducting comprehensive clinical examinations and assessing patient conditions.
• Ordering and interpreting necessary laboratory and radiological test results for accurate diagnosis.
• Developing individualized treatment plans for patients and monitoring their health progress.
• Providing specialized medical consultations in the field of internal medicine.
• Collaborating effectively with physicians from other specialties and nursing staff to ensure integrated patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with professional standards and local regulations.
• Adhering to the highest standards of medical ethics, professional practice, and patient safety.
• Participating in continuous professional development activities.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, plus a recognized specialization certificate (Board) in Internal Medicine from an accredited institution.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid medical practice license from the Sultanate of Oman's Ministry of Health, or be eligible to obtain one through the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB). Preference will be given to candidates with an already active Omani license.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-specialization practical experience in practicing internal medicine. Experience in large hospitals or major medical centers will be a significant advantage.
• Skills: Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate decisions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues. Proficiency in the English language is essential, and knowledge of Arabic will be a major plus.
• Personal Attributes: High commitment to professional ethics. Empathy towards patients and the ability to reassure them. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a team.
