Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining all technical systems and networks within the company. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily Oversight: Supervising the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring all systems, computers, and networks run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Network & Infrastructure Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), servers, and storage systems.
  • End-User Support: Providing high-level technical support to company staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Cybersecurity: Implementing and managing information security policies, ensuring systems are regularly updated, and protecting company data from cyber threats.
  • Project Management: Planning and executing IT infrastructure upgrade projects in collaboration with other departments.
  • Procurement & Budgeting: Assisting in evaluating and selecting new technical solutions, overseeing hardware and software purchases, and helping prepare the department's budget.
  • Training & Documentation: Training staff on new systems and applications, and creating and maintaining technical documentation for systems and procedures.

Qualifications and Key Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT management, with proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role (Team Lead or Incharge).
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
    • Strong experience in managing LAN/WAN networks, network protocols, and networking devices (Cisco, HP).
    • Familiarity with virtualization systems like VMware or Hyper-V.
    • Knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server).
    • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and managerial abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong customer service orientation (internal user support).
    • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic will be a distinct advantage.
