IT Procurement Specialist (System Integration & Distribution)

A leading player in the technology sector within Saudi Arabia is seeking to hire an IT Procurement Specialist with expertise in the System Integration and Distribution domain. This role is pivotal in managing the strategic sourcing of technologies and integrated solutions that underpin the digital infrastructure for clients and partners.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement cycle for complex technology solutions, with a particular focus on system integration components and large-scale distribution operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Sourcing Management: Identifying supplier sources, conducting tenders, and negotiating to secure the best commercial value for hardware, software, and services related to system integration.
  • Vendor Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with global and regional IT hardware/software vendors and manufacturers, focusing on the distribution and integration channel.
  • Contract Management & Compliance: Drafting, reviewing, and managing purchase contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring full compliance with local Saudi policies and regulations.
  • Market & Cost Analysis: Conducting ongoing market research to analyze pricing trends, evaluate new products, and provide recommendations for cost-effectiveness in the supply chain.
  • Internal Collaboration: Working closely with IT engineering teams, project management, logistics, and finance departments to ensure project requirements are met and deliveries are executed on time.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the supply chain, including delays or shortages, that could impact system integration projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proposing and implementing initiatives to improve procurement processes, streamline procedures, and reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) are a strong advantage.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT procurement, with a proven track record in managing system integration and/or large-scale technology distribution procurement. Experience in the Saudi or GCC market is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking, cybersecurity), enterprise software, and integration solutions. Knowledge of key vendor landscapes (e.g., Cisco, Dell, HPE, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.).
  • Professional Skills:
    • Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
    • Strong analytical ability with proficiency in data and cost analysis tools.
    • Excellent knowledge of contract law and government/private procurement regulations in Saudi Arabia.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment & Location

This position will be based in Saudi Arabia, likely in one of the major cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, or Khobar.
