Job Description and Responsibilities

- Supervision & Operations: Overseeing the performance and maintenance of the hotel's core IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems (wired and wireless), telephone systems, and end-user computer equipment.
- User Support: Providing direct and advanced technical support to all hotel departments and staff to resolve software and hardware-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Hotel Systems Management: Assisting in the management and operation of specialized systems such as the Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, access control systems, and in-room entertainment systems, ensuring their integration and health.
- Cybersecurity: Contributing to the implementation and upkeep of information security policies, ensuring systems are regularly updated against cyber threats, and safeguarding sensitive guest data.
- Project & Inventory Management: Assisting in planning and executing IT upgrade projects, managing the inventory of IT assets (hardware and software), and liaising with vendors when necessary.
- Team Training: Guiding and training less experienced IT technicians within the team, sharing knowledge to ensure high-performance standards.
- Collaboration: Working closely with hotel management and regional IT management to meet operational and strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Key Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role in Hilton's competitive environment, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent proven long-term practical experience may be considered.
- Practical Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, with proven experience in a supervisory or lead role. Previous experience in the hospitality or hotel sector is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and switch & router configuration.
- Experience in managing and maintaining telephone communication systems (PBX).
- Familiarity with Hotel Management Systems (e.g., Opera) and POS systems is a strong plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across various levels.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (verbal and written).
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 hotel environment.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- Strong customer service orientation (towards guests and staff).
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple language to non-technical individuals.
