KUWAIT JOBS HERE is announcing a job opening for the position of IT Technician in the Ahmadi area of Kuwait. Job Description and Responsibilities

The IT Technician will be based at the work site in Ahmadi and will be responsible for a range of critical technical tasks to ensure seamless business operations. The core responsibilities for this position include:

  • End-User Technical Support: Providing direct technical support to company staff regarding hardware and software issues, either in person, over the phone, or remotely, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of daily problems.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer equipment (desktops, laptops), printers, scanners, and other peripherals. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, or arranging for replacements when necessary.
  • Network and Systems Management: Assisting in monitoring and maintaining the Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points. This may also involve basic support for servers and operating systems.
  • Software Installation: Assisting with the installation and configuration of required software applications and operating systems, ensuring they are regularly updated for security patches.
  • Account and User Management: Assisting in creating new user accounts, managing access permissions, and resetting passwords within the network environment, in accordance with company policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Documenting all support requests, actions taken, and problem resolutions in a ticketing system. Preparing periodic reports on hardware/network status and common issues.
  • Basic Cybersecurity: Ensuring antivirus software is updated on all devices and assisting in implementing basic security policies to protect company data.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of practical experience in a similar role (IT Technician, Technical Support, Network Assistant). Experience in a corporate work environment is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Windows Server.
    • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP principles, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
    • Excellent hardware troubleshooting and computer component maintenance skills.
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Arabic and English preferred).
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and simply.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
    • Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple task priorities.
    • Proactive attitude, initiative, and a positive approach to work and learning.
  • Professional Certifications (Preferred): Possessing industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals is a strong advantage.

Work Location and Environment

The primary work location for this position is in the Ahmadi area of Kuwait. The nature of the job may require mobility between the company's offices in the region if needed. The company provides a stimulating work environment that supports continuous professional development.
