Job Description

The newly appointed Accountant will be integrated into the finance team, responsible for a range of core accounting and financial tasks to ensure the accuracy of financial records and smooth operational flow. Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and managing daily accounts (payable and receivable).
• Accurately and timely recording all financial transactions in the accounting ledgers.
• Assisting in the preparation of periodic financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Reconciling bank statements with internal records.
• Managing supplier invoices and payment processes, and following up on client receivables.
• Contributing to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies and applicable local standards.
• Collaborating with other departments to provide financial support and necessary information.
• Assisting in preparing documentation required for external audits.
• Maintaining the confidentiality and security of the company's financial information.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 2-3 years in an accounting role. Experience within a Kuwaiti or GCC work environment will be a distinct advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
  • Hands-on experience using a major accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local standards.
