Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Lead Structural Engineer will occupy a pivotal position within the engineering team, with primary responsibilities including:

• Technical Leadership: Leading and guiding a team of structural engineers and technicians, delegating tasks, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
• Design and Analysis: Developing and designing structural solutions for a variety of projects (such as residential/commercial buildings, cultural facilities, and infrastructure) using the latest analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
• Plan Review: Reviewing and approving structural drawings, quantity calculations, and material specifications to ensure compliance with international codes (like ACI, AISC) and local Qatari standards.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Working closely with other discipline engineers (architectural, MEP), contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure integration and coherence in project execution.
• Quality and Safety Assurance: Establishing and implementing quality assurance and control programs, ensuring all designs and executions adhere to stringent health and safety regulations.
• Project Management: Contributing to project schedule planning, monitoring progress, and preparing technical reports for senior management.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university. A Master's degree is a strong advantage.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in structural engineering, with proven experience of at least 4 years in a lead or supervisory role (Senior Engineer or Team Lead).
• Technical Expertise: Deep experience in the design and analysis of various concrete and steel structures. Experience in major infrastructure projects or high-rise buildings is a significant plus.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of international codes and standards (ACI, AISC, IBC) and local regulations in Qatar.
• Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) and Computer-Aided Design software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Personal Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in both Arabic and English. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
