Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Structure (Doha, Qatar)

Skyfixer Aircraft Maintenance, a leading provider of aircraft maintenance services in the Gulf region, is seeking a qualified Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) specializing in Aircraft Structures to join its dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of critical technical tasks focused on the airworthiness and repair of aircraft structures. Core duties include:

  • Inspection & Repair: Conduct detailed and precise inspections of aircraft primary and secondary structures (fuselage, wings, empennage) to detect any damage, cracks, or corrosion.
  • Maintenance Execution: Perform complex structural repairs in strict compliance with the Aircraft Manufacturer's Structural Repair Manual (SRM) and approved engineering data.
  • Certification Authority: Assume full responsibility for issuing Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) upon completion of structural maintenance or repair tasks, within the scope of the held license.
  • Documentation: Accurately prepare and document all technical reports and maintenance records in accordance with regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA Part 145) and company procedures.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and supervision to technicians and trainees within the structures workshop.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant local (Qatar Civil Aviation Authority) and international (EASA, FAA) aviation safety regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this specialized technical role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • License: Must hold a valid and current Aircraft Maintenance License. The essential requirement is an EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 license with Structure endorsement, or an equivalent license recognized by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (e.g., GCAA license).
  • Experience: Proven hands-on experience of at least 5 years in aircraft structural maintenance and repair, preferably on modern commercial aircraft (e.g., Airbus A320 family, A350, or Boeing 777, 787).
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of aircraft structural materials (e.g., aluminum alloys, composite materials, titanium) and their repair techniques.
  • Personal Skills: Ability to work with high precision under pressure, excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for a multicultural team environment, and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications: Possession of approved type training certificates on specific aircraft or composite repair technology courses will be a distinct advantage.
  • Education: Candidates must hold a university degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related mechanical field (preferred).
