Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be entrusted with a range of vital responsibilities centered on the technical and operational management of the LIMS and its derived data:

• LIMS Management and Operation: Oversee the daily operation of the Laboratory Information Management System, ensuring its stability and the integrity of entered data. This includes managing user accounts, permissions, and workflow within the system.
• Data Quality and Integrity Assurance: Monitor and audit data incoming from laboratories to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standard protocols. Act as a liaison between laboratory teams and technicians on one side, and data management requirements on the other.
• Report Development and Generation: Design and generate periodic and customized analytical reports based on the requirements of various departments such as Quality Management, Operations, and Senior Management. Transform raw data into actionable insights and information.
• Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support to system users within laboratories and supporting departments. Contribute to developing and implementing training programs to ensure optimal system use by all stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement improvements to data management processes and system reporting to enhance operational efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure data management and reporting processes comply with the company's internal standards and any regulatory requirements or accredited quality standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be a successful candidate for this specialized technical role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Laboratory Sciences, or any field related to data and systems management.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and operating LIMS in an industrial or laboratory environment, preferably in sectors like Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, or Manufacturing.
• Technical Skills:
  • Profound proficiency in working with LIMS software and systems (e.g., LabWare, STARLIMS, Thermo Fisher SampleManager).
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and using reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Reports, Power BI, SQL for querying).
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and management.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and validation principles in laboratory environments.
• Personal Skills: High analytical ability, attention to detail, and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proactive problem-solving skills.
