Job Description and Responsibilities
The Maintenance Engineer will be stationed at an active operational site, responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of equipment and systems. The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Planning and executing preventive and periodic maintenance programs for industrial equipment, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Diagnosing technical faults quickly and effectively and taking the necessary corrective actions for repairs.
- Supervising daily maintenance operations and ensuring they are carried out according to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Monitoring equipment performance, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and proposing upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Preparing detailed technical reports on maintenance status and repairs performed, and documenting equipment records.
- Working closely with operations teams and technicians to ensure effective coordination and meet productivity targets.
- Strict adherence to all applicable Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations in the State of Kuwait.
Qualifications and Core Requirements
To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in industrial equipment maintenance or similar systems. Experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, or utilities environments is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Deep practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control system principles. Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities under pressure. Accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a team.
- Additional Requirements: Proficiency in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage. The applicant must hold a valid residency in the State of Kuwait and be eligible for transfer of sponsorship.
