Maintenance Supervisor (ELV/Fire Alarm Systems) - Estithmar Holding, Doha

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this supervisory role will play a central part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of ELV and Fire Alarm systems across the group's facilities. The core responsibilities will focus on the direct supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervision & Planning: Leading and directing a team of maintenance technicians. Developing and scheduling periodic preventive maintenance plans for ELV systems (such as intercom, access control, CCTV, public address systems) and Fire Alarm & Detection systems.
• Maintenance & Diagnostics: Supervising routine inspection, testing, and maintenance operations of the systems. Diagnosing complex faults and formulating effective repair plans.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all maintenance procedures and system operations comply with relevant Qatari and international safety standards, particularly fire safety codes. Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Inventory & Vendor Management: Assisting in managing the inventory of spare parts and tools. Coordinating with external suppliers and contractors for specialized services when required.
• Reporting & Development: Preparing detailed reports on system status, maintenance activities, and any incidents or failures. Proposing and improving maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Emergency Response: Responding promptly to system-related emergencies and supervising urgent repair work.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering, or an advanced technical diploma in a related field.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in maintaining ELV and Fire Alarm systems, with at least 2 years of proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of the principles and common systems of ELV (CCTV, Access Control, Public Address, Data Networks).
  • Advanced understanding of Fire Alarm & Detection systems (addressable and conventional), and automatic fire suppression devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and engineering schematics.
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) is a strong advantage.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized certifications in fire safety (e.g., NFPA) or certifications from major ELV/Fire Alarm system manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Notifier) will be highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. Attention to detail and accuracy. Robust organizational and administrative skills.
• Other Requirements: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
