Job Overview

The Manager of Marketing Communications will be responsible for leading and executing integrated marketing communication strategies for a Hilton hotel or cluster in Kuwait. The role entails safeguarding and enhancing the brand image, ensuring message consistency across all channels, and driving awareness and demand for the hotel's services. This position acts as a central link between the hotel, its target audience, media, partners, and the local market.

Key Expected Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop & Execute MarCom Strategy: Create a comprehensive communication plan aligned with the overall business objectives of the Hilton property in Kuwait and the global brand standards of Hilton Worldwide.
  • Media & Public Relations Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant local and international media outlets. Lead PR efforts, including press release writing, press conference organization, and managing brand appearance in the media.
  • Content & Digital Channels Management: Oversee the creation of engaging and consistent content for digital channels (social media, hotel website, e-newsletters) while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Social Media Marketing: Lead the social media strategy to increase engagement, build community, and drive direct bookings.
  • Internal Department Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Revenue, Food & Beverage, and Events departments to ensure all campaigns are aligned and promotions are effectively communicated.
  • Budget Management & Reporting: Prepare and manage the marketing communications budget and measure campaign effectiveness and ROI using appropriate analytics tools.
  • Crisis Communications: Participate in developing emergency communication plans and handle sensitive media issues professionally to protect the hotel's reputation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Experience: Proven experience of at least 5-7 years in marketing communications or public relations, with a preference for experience in the hospitality, tourism, or luxury service sector. Experience in the Kuwaiti or GCC market is a significant advantage.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to craft compelling and tailored messages for diverse audiences.
  • Digital Savviness: Deep understanding of digital marketing platforms, social media analytics, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles.
  • Networking: An established network of media and industry contacts in Kuwait is highly desirable.
  • Personal Attributes: Creativity, proactiveness, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
