Job Description and Responsibilities

The Manager of Performance Medicine will hold a critical leadership role within the hospital's organizational structure. The core mission will be to lead and develop the Performance Medicine department, which aims to enhance athletic performance, prevent injuries, and promote optimal recovery. The key responsibilities expected for this role include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the long-term vision and strategy for the Performance Medicine department, aligning with the overarching goals of Aspetar and the Aspire Zone foundation.
• Medical and Administrative Oversight: Provide clinical and administrative leadership to a multidisciplinary team that may include physicians, physiotherapists, sports nutritionists, exercise physiologists, and strength and conditioning specialists.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and monitor world-class care protocols and standards in areas such as performance assessment, specialized training programs, nutrition, and recovery.
• Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with other departments within Aspetar such as orthopaedics, medical imaging, and rehabilitation, as well as with partner sports clubs and federations.

Qualifications and Requirements
