Master Technician - Construction Equipment (United Arab Emirates)

A prominent company within the equipment and engineering services sector in the United Arab Emirates is seeking to hire a Master Technician specializing in Construction Equipment. Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Master Technician will be stationed at a operational site and will be the primary authority for ensuring the highest operational efficiency standards for a diverse fleet of construction machinery. The core responsibilities of this position include:

• Conducting accurate diagnostics of faults and technical issues in heavy construction equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes).
• Performing scheduled periodic and preventive maintenance as per a defined timeline and original manufacturer specifications.
• Repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic system failures within the equipment.
• Inspecting and testing equipment post-repair to guarantee work quality and operational safety.
• Supervising less experienced technicians, providing necessary technical guidance, and ensuring strict adherence to occupational safety procedures.
• Maintaining precise records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including fault reports and parts used.
• Communicating effectively with workshop supervisors and operations managers to report on equipment status and work progress.
• Complying with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards at the worksite.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this specialized technical role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A recognized diploma or technical qualification in Engineering Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Practical Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment, with a demonstrated career progression into lead technical roles.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of various heavy equipment operating systems (diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, electronic control systems).
  • Proficiency in using specialized diagnostic tools and inspection software.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical schematics and manuals in English.
• Personal Skills:
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Reliability and capacity to work under pressure to complete tasks within deadlines.
