Material Coordinator Job in Kuwait

Job Description
The Material Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and equipment within the company's projects or operational processes. This position will be the primary point of coordination between various departments to ensure the right materials are available, at the right time and place, and with the required quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Closely monitor stock levels of materials, raw materials, and equipment, conduct periodic inventory counts, and ensure the accuracy of records in the inventory management system.
- Planning & Procurement: Coordinate with the procurement department to identify material requirements, prepare purchase requisitions, and follow up on supply orders with vendors to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Receiving & Distribution: Oversee the receipt of shipments, inspect quantities and specifications against purchase orders, and organize their safe and systematic storage. Additionally, distribute materials to departments or project sites based on approved requests.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and organize all material-related documents such as purchase orders, delivery notes, issue records, and inventory reports. Provide periodic reports on inventory status and any bottlenecks or delays.
- Internal Coordination: Act as an effective liaison between operations, projects, procurement, warehouse, and supplier departments to ensure all operational needs are met.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality policies, and regulations of the company and the State of Kuwait during material handling and storage operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of practical experience in a similar role (Material Coordinator, Logistics Assistant, Warehouse Supervisor) in an industrial, construction, or logistics environment. Experience in the Kuwaiti or GCC market is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office software (especially Excel).
- Experience using Inventory Management or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- Personal Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
