Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join a dedicated teaching team and will be responsible for the following core duties:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging daily mathematics lessons in line with the approved curriculum and best pedagogical practices.
- Teaching lessons in an interactive and captivating manner that caters to diverse learning styles and promotes a deep conceptual understanding of mathematical principles.
- Regularly assessing and evaluating student progress and achievement through assignments, quizzes, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, curiosity, and problem-solving.
- Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and collaborating to support their educational journey.
- Participating in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development workshops to ensure continuous growth.
- Integrating appropriate educational technology and digital tools to enhance the learning experience.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Education (with a Mathematics specialization). A Master's degree or higher teaching qualification will be a distinct advantage.
- Experience: Proven teaching experience of at least 3 years in delivering Mathematics at primary or secondary school levels. Experience in international schools or with British curricula (e.g., IGCSE, A-Levels) is a strong plus.
- Personal Skills: A genuine passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities. Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work setting.
- Certifications: Proficiency in computer applications and educational software. Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential for communication within the educational setting.
