Job Description

The Mechanical Draughtsman at Gradiant will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Preparing and developing detailed mechanical technical drawings (detail, assembly, and fabrication drawings) using modern Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Working closely with engineers and designers to understand technical requirements and translate conceptual sketches and schematics into precise, manufacturing/execution-ready drawings.
• Reviewing and analyzing engineering schematics and specifications to ensure compliance with established standards and project requirements.
• Updating and maintaining the digital library of engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and revision control.
• Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and documentation related to drawing packages.
• Adhering to all company and industry-standard quality and safety protocols.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• A diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Drawing, or a related field.
• Proven work experience in a similar role as a Mechanical Draughtsman within an engineering or industrial environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, with a strong preference for experience in the latest versions of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Mechanical.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and international drafting standards (e.g., ISO).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and drawings.
• Exceptional accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
