Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful Mechanical Technician will be deployed within the client's service field team or facilities. The core responsibilities will focus on the maintenance, installation, and repair of mechanical systems associated with water treatment units. Key day-to-day tasks will include:

• Performing routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment at water treatment plants, such as pumps, compressors, valves, piping systems, and filters.
• Diagnosing and efficiently repairing mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring it meets technical specifications and safety standards.
• Reading and interpreting engineering schematics, installation drawings, and technical manuals.
• Conducting inspections and tests on equipment post-repair or maintenance to ensure performance quality.
• Providing accurate technical reports on equipment status and maintenance work performed.
• Strictly adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols at all times, especially when working in industrial settings.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this critical technical role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Mechanics, or a related technical field.
• Work Experience: Proven hands-on experience of at least 3 years in a mechanical service or maintenance technician role. Direct experience in the water treatment industry, power sector, or similar heavy industries is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong practical knowledge of mechanical principles, pumping, and piping systems.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools, hand tools, and power tools specific to mechanical work.
  • A solid understanding of safety procedures in industrial environments.
• Personal Skills:
  • High reliability and the ability to work with precision and discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex problems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good communication skills (proficiency in both Arabic and English for interacting with colleagues and supervisors is a strong advantage).

Work Location & Conditions

• Location: Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Nature of Work: Full-time position. Must be prepared for field work or assignments at various sites as per job demands. Occasional work outside standard hours may be required for emergency call-outs.
