Mechanical Supervisor (Facilities Management) - Doha, Qatar

TDGISERV SERVICES, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and engineering solutions, is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join its team for ongoing projects in the Qatari capital, Doha. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and sustainability of mechanical systems across various facilities, contributing directly to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Supervisor will be directly responsible for overseeing all mechanical system operations within the assigned facility. Key duties include:

• Technical Supervision: Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance teams and technicians to ensure all tasks are executed according to technical standards and best practices.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Develop and implement scheduled preventive maintenance plans for mechanical systems (such as HVAC, plumbing, pumping systems, etc.) to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Breakdown Response: Manage the team's response to emergency maintenance requests and mechanical breakdowns promptly and efficiently, diagnosing root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all mechanical works comply with company specifications, local and international industry standards, and relevant Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations in Qatar.
• Inventory & Procurement Management: Assist in monitoring stock levels of mechanical spare parts and supplies, and raise purchase requisitions as needed.
• Training & Development: Train and develop the technical and safety skills of team members to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly reports on work progress, equipment status, completed maintenance activities, and issues encountered along with solutions applied.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a higher technical diploma (or equivalent) in a related field.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years of proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a Facilities Management (FM) environment or major projects.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, mechanical firefighting systems, and pressure systems.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Problem-solving aptitude and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to occupational health and safety standards.
• Other Requirements: Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office). Knowledge of Qatari building and safety regulations will be a distinct advantage.
