Job Description

The IT Support Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity and efficiency of the technical infrastructure during evening operational hours. This individual will be the primary point of contact for providing immediate and effective technical support to end-users and operational systems within the entertainment complex. The role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where readiness and clear communication are paramount.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-level technical support to staff via phone, email, or in person during the evening shift.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware (computers, printers, peripherals) and software issues.
• Monitor system and network performance, reporting any failures or potential problems.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and updating of required software and applications for operations.
• Manage user requests and incidents through a ticketing system, ensuring resolution within agreed timeframes.
• Provide basic network and connectivity support.
• Document solutions and procedures for recurring issues to help build a knowledge base.
• Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., network, systems) to escalate complex issues and ensure their resolution.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and internal policies in all tasks.
• Provide periodic reports on system status and shift activities to the direct supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent extensive practical experience may be considered.
• Proven practical experience of at least 2-3 years in IT support or technical support roles.
• Full availability to work an evening shift schedule (e.g., 2 PM to 10 PM, or as per the defined roster).
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic will be a strong added advantage.

Required Technical and Personal Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and potentially other OS.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365 applications and cloud work environments.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software problems.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network devices.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and patiently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in an operational environment.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision during the shift.
• Flexibility and adaptability to non-standard working hours.
