Job Description
The Outbound Tour Executive will be responsible for the operational and commercial aspects of arranging client trips to destinations outside Bahrain. The role will focus on turning clients' travel dreams into reality through tailored travel packages. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and Designing Travel Packages: Creating attractive and comprehensive tour packages to various international destinations, including flight arrangements, accommodation, transfers, tours, and activities.
- Customer Service and Consultations: Interacting with potential and existing clients to understand their travel needs, budgets, and preferences. Providing professional advice and suitable recommendations.
- Booking Procedures and Coordination: Handling flight bookings via Global Distribution Systems (GDS), hotel reservations, local transport arrangements, visa securing, and organizing tours and activities at the destination.
- Sales and Target Achievement: Working towards defined sales targets, effectively promoting tour offers, and converting inquiries into confirmed sales.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong working relationships with airlines, hotels, overseas tour operators, and other service providers to ensure the best prices and services for clients.
- Product Knowledge: Maintaining deep and up-to-date knowledge of popular tourist destinations, visa requirements, health travel regulations, and market special offers.
- Post-Sale Follow-up: Ensuring a smooth journey for the client by providing all necessary documentation (itineraries, confirmations) and offering support during travel if needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following specifications:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Formal qualifications may be substituted with extensive practical experience.
- Experience: Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar role as a Tour Coordinator, Travel Agent, or a related position in outbound tourism. Experience in the GCC market is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre. Excellent skills in using the Microsoft Office suite.
- Personal Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Outstanding customer service and sales skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling arrangements and documentation.
