Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The appointed Consultant will hold a pivotal role within the Surgery Department, with an exclusive focus on surgical cases related to the vascular system in children and adolescents. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conducting comprehensive clinical evaluations of referred cases, diagnosing complex pediatric vascular disorders (e.g., arteriovenous malformations, congenital vascular diseases, vascular trauma).
- Surgical Planning and Execution: Leading a surgical team in planning and performing precise, complex pediatric vascular surgery procedures, utilizing the latest surgical techniques (including minimally invasive surgery where applicable).
- Post-Operative Care: Overseeing post-operative patient care, monitoring recovery, managing any potential complications, and ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with pediatricians, cardiologists, interventional radiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to provide holistic, integrated, and family-centered care.
- Professional Development and Training: Contributing to continuous medical education activities within the institution, supervising the training of residents and fellows, and participating in clinical review sessions.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensuring full compliance with all approved medical protocols, safety standards, and the health regulations in force in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Job Requirements and Qualifications

- Educational Qualifications:
- MBBS or equivalent basic medical degree.
- Board Certification or equivalent in Vascular Surgery from a globally recognized authority.

- Work Experience:
