Job Description and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive employee rewards and benefits strategy for the hospital. They will work closely with HR management and other departments to ensure compensation systems are aligned with the hospital's strategic goals and with best practices in the local and regional job market, particularly within healthcare.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and evaluating existing job structures and developing competitive and fair salary ranges for all functional categories (medical, nursing, administrative, technical).
  • Managing and executing annual salary review processes, linking them to performance appraisals.
  • Designing and managing incentive and bonus programs (monetary and non-monetary) to enhance productivity and organizational loyalty.
  • Overseeing the employee benefits program (health insurance, leave, retirement, etc.) and conducting periodic reviews to ensure competitiveness.
  • Conducting ongoing benchmarking with other hospitals and healthcare facilities in Kuwait and the Gulf to ensure the hospital's rewards packages remain attractive.
  • Providing advice and recommendations to management on compensation and benefits policies and their financial impact.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Kuwaiti labor laws and regulations concerning wages and employment.
  • Preparing reports and analyses related to the salary and rewards budget for senior management.
  • Utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and specialized HR software to perform duties.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

Academic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications in compensation and benefits (e.g., CCP - Certified Compensation Professional) is a significant advantage.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in rewards, compensation, and benefits management, with a strong preference for experience in the healthcare or hospital sector.
  • Proven experience in conducting market benchmarking and designing salary structures.
  • In-depth understanding of labor laws and regulations in the State of Kuwait.
  • Proficiency in using HR systems and advanced computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet software and data analysis.

Personal Skills:

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and absolute confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align rewards policies with business objectives.
