Job Description and Responsibilities
The Pest Control Lead will hold a pivotal role in ensuring that control operations are executed according to the highest standards of quality and safety. The key responsibilities for this leadership position include:
- Leadership and Supervision: Lead a technical team of pest control technicians, distribute daily tasks, and provide direct supervision over the execution of spraying, sanitization, and inspection operations at various client sites serviced by the company.
- Planning and Execution: Develop daily and weekly execution plans for control operations, including route planning and material quantity estimation, to ensure efficiency and comprehensive coverage.
- Quality Assurance: Directly monitor the quality of services delivered, verify the application of standard safety protocols (such as the use of Personal Protective Equipment), and ensure adherence to approved operational procedures.
- Training and Development: Train new team members on the correct methods for using equipment, mixing chemicals, and applying integrated pest management techniques, thereby enhancing their professional competency.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring stock levels of chemicals, pesticides, and equipment, and reporting resupply needs in a timely manner.
- Client Interaction: Represent the company professionally at client sites, provide basic preventive advice and guidance, and gather feedback on the service provided.
- Reporting: Prepare daily reports on work progress, achievements, and any challenges encountered, and submit them to the direct supervisor.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
To be eligible for this leadership role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Practical Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in the pest control field, with prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role over a field team.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of common pests in the Omani environment (such as cockroaches, ants, rodents, mosquitoes, etc.), their control methods, and the properties and modes of action of the chemicals used.
- Licenses and Certifications: Possession of certified training or qualifications in pest control or safety in pesticide handling is highly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and manage a team, solve field problems quickly and wisely, with strict adherence to health and safety standards.
- Logistical Skills: Good planning and time management skills, with the ability to commute between different work sites in the Muscat area.
- Physical Fitness: Physical fitness suitable for working in various field conditions, carrying equipment, and standing for extended periods.
- Language: Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic is essential. Basic knowledge of English will be an added advantage.
