Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Planner will play a crucial role in supporting the Planning & Merchandising operations to ensure efficiency and achieve business objectives. The core responsibilities associated with this role are expected to include:

  • Analysis and Planning: Participating in the analysis of historical and current sales and inventory data to forecast future trends.
  • Inventory Management: Assisting in planning optimal inventory levels across various group outlets in Riyadh or regionally, aiming to balance demand fulfillment with cost minimization.
  • Operational Support: Preparing periodic reports and management dashboards reflecting product and inventory performance.
  • Coordination: Working closely with Merchandising, Procurement, and Sales teams to ensure plan alignment and effective execution.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to inventory and sales, and suggesting corrective actions when necessary.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to the group's internal policies and best practices in all planning activities.

Qualifications and Key Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this Planner role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
  • Work Experience: Proven previous work experience (typically ranging from 2 to 5 years) in planning, data analysis, or inventory management, preferably within a retail or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, macros).
    • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle is a significant advantage.
    • Ability to work with specialized planning systems is a strong plus.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet challenges in a fast-paced setting.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
    • Team player with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
    • Commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
