Job Description

The Pre-Commissioning & Preservation Manager will be responsible for the full leadership and oversight of all activities related to the Pre-Commissioning and Preservation phases of the company's projects. These stages are critical for ensuring the quality, safety, and successful handover of projects in accordance with the highest international standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive plans and strategies for project pre-commissioning and preservation activities.
• Provide direct supervision and guidance to technical work crews and subcontractors during these phases.
• Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), quality, and technical specification requirements during pre-commissioning operations.
• Plan and oversee the preservation of equipment and systems during the construction period and before final handover to prevent damage or corrosion.
• Review and approve technical documentation, procedures, and work packs related to these stages.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Design Engineers, Operations Engineers, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure integration of all activities.
• Prepare regular progress reports, highlighting risks, issues, and proposing effective solutions.
• Manage budgets and schedules allocated for pre-commissioning and preservation activities.
• Ensure all systems are ready for a seamless transition to the commissioning and final testing phase.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field from an accredited university.
• Experience: A minimum of 12 to 15 years of hands-on experience in industrial project management, with a strong and proven track record specifically in managing Pre-Commissioning and Preservation activities for major projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power sectors.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant international standards (e.g., ISO, API, ASME) and pre-commissioning/preservation procedures.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, multicultural teams in a complex project environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
• Organizational Skills: Superior strategic planning, priority management, and complex problem-solving abilities under pressure.

Work Location

The primary work location will be in Al Khor, Qatar, with potential travel to various project sites as required by business needs.
