Job Overview

The appointed Process Engineer will be integrated into the Group's technical operations division. The core responsibility will involve analyzing, designing, monitoring, and optimizing industrial processes and systems to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality. With Al-Qaryan Group's diversified operations spanning trading, industry, and contracting, the role offers a dynamic work environment rich with technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Analyze existing industrial processes to identify areas for improvement, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Design and develop new processes or modify existing ones to improve productivity, yield, and quality.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices for all processes.
  • Monitor process performance, collect data, perform statistical analysis, and generate performance reports.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure seamless process integration.
  • Evaluate and propose new equipment and technologies that can enhance process efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards (local and international).
  • Investigate process incidents or failures and propose corrective and preventive solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
  • Proven work experience in a Process Engineer role, preferably within the industrial, manufacturing, or contracting sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of process engineering principles, process modeling, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in engineering design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD) and process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS).
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities for complex technical issues.
  • A solid understanding of quality management principles (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required. Arabic language skills are a plus.
