Prime Gate is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Manager to join its team in Saudi Arabia. Job Overview

The Procurement Manager will hold a pivotal role within the company's structure, responsible for leading and developing the comprehensive procurement strategy. This role aims to ensure the company acquires necessary goods and services at the highest quality and best possible value, while maintaining operational efficiency and fostering strategic supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the development and implementation of the company's procurement strategy and procedures in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle, from needs identification and RFQ/RFP processes to contract negotiation and purchase order issuance.
  • Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify optimal sourcing options and ensure competitive pricing and quality.
  • Negotiate terms and contractual agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings, improve payment terms, and ensure supply continuity.
  • Build and manage strong, sustainable relationships with a network of reliable local and international suppliers.
  • Monitor and regularly evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with specifications, timelines, and contractual terms.
  • Manage the procurement-related budget and report on cost savings and key performance metrics to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all company internal policies and relevant regulations and laws in Saudi Arabia.
  • Lead and develop the procurement team (if applicable), fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Operations, Finance, and Projects to understand and effectively meet their requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) will be a distinct advantage.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 proven years in a leadership role as a Procurement Manager.
  • Strong experience in the Saudi market and deep knowledge of local vendors and regulations.
  • Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills with a proven track record of achieving significant cost savings.
  • Strong understanding of contract and risk management principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to make informed decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across all management levels.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software applications related to purchasing.
