Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Production Manager will bear full responsibility for managing and operating a key production line or unit. Core duties and responsibilities will include:

• Operational Oversight: Leading and directing daily production activities to meet output goals in terms of volume, quality, cost, and timelines.
• Team Management: Leading and developing a workforce consisting of supervisors, technicians, and production operators. This includes training, performance evaluation, and motivating the team to enhance productivity and morale.
• Continuous Improvement: Implementing industrial efficiency and continuous improvement principles (such as Lean Manufacturing) to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Quality Control: Ensuring finished products meet required specifications and local/international standards, working closely with the Quality Control department.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Promoting and enforcing a strict occupational safety culture on the shop floor, with full compliance to local environmental regulations.
• Planning & Scheduling: Participating in production planning, managing operational schedules, and ensuring optimal availability of raw materials and equipment.
• Budget Management: Contributing to departmental budgeting and controlling operational costs within approved limits.
• Reporting: Preparing accurate productivity performance reports and presenting them to senior management.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this leadership opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent). Higher qualifications (Master's) may be an added advantage.
• Work Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in industrial management or production management, with a significant portion in a similar leadership role (Senior Production Supervisor or Production Manager). Experience in heavy industry, petrochemicals, or advanced manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of production principles, quality control (e.g., Six Sigma), maintenance, and supply chain management. Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and production software.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capability and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic will be a significant advantage.
