Job Description
The Project Engineer will be assigned to a specialized department within the vast network of Power International Holding's companies, which span sectors including construction, logistics, agriculture, and services. The primary responsibility will be to assist in planning, executing, and monitoring assigned engineering projects to ensure their completion within the defined scope, budget, quality standards, and timeline.
Key Expected Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and developing detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional team members (engineering, procurement, execution).
- Monitor work progress on-site and ensure compliance with technical specifications, design standards, and safety regulations.
- Prepare periodic reports on project status, highlighting achievements, challenges, and potential risks.
- Review drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Assist in managing project scope changes and ensuring they are properly documented and approved.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure all project work aligns with the company's internal policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
Power International Holding is seeking highly qualified candidates with relevant practical experience.
Academic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field) from an accredited university.
- A professional certification (e.g., PMP, Professional Engineer license) will be a strong added advantage.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical experience in a similar role (Project Engineer or related position) within the construction, building, or industrial projects sector.
- Proven experience working on medium to large-scale projects.
- Solid understanding of the project management lifecycle, from initial planning to final handover.
Personal and Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in relevant computer software (MS Project, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Saudi Arabia.
