Details of Available Positions

1. Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership of the project, from initial planning to final delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the project team and coordinating the efforts of all stakeholders (contractors, consultants, clients).
  • Developing detailed project plans, managing the schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Ensuring project execution complies with agreed technical specifications, quality standards, and local regulations.
  • Managing risks, identifying potential obstacles, and developing mitigation plans.
  • Communicating effectively with clients to provide regular progress reports and address any queries.
  • The ultimate goal is to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

2. Senior Project Engineer

The Senior Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in providing technical support and site supervision. Their duties encompass:

  • Providing specialized technical support to the Project Manager and the execution team.
  • Reviewing engineering drawings, designs, and technical specifications.
  • Supervising construction and engineering works on-site to ensure compliance with designs.
  • Coordinating and reviewing the work of subcontractors.
  • Preparing daily and weekly technical reports.
  • Contributing to solving technical problems that arise during the construction phase.

3. Quality Surveyor (Quantity Surveyor)

The Quality Surveyor plays a crucial role in the financial and commercial aspect of the project. Their responsibilities will focus on:

  • Preparing and analyzing quantity take-offs and initial cost estimates.
  • Preparing tender documents and contributing to the contractor bid evaluation process.
  • Monitoring site measurements for completed work and preparing monthly payment applications (interim valuations) for contractors.
  • Monitoring the project's actual costs against the budget and preparing variance reports.
  • Evaluating variation orders and estimating their financial value.
  • Assisting in preparing the project's final financial settlement.
  • Ensuring accuracy in all financial and commercial documentation related to the project.

General Requirements and Qualifications

The company is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Architectural) or a related field (e.g., Construction Management for managerial roles). For the Quality Surveyor role, a degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying may be suitable.
  • Proven work experience in a relevant field within the construction or engineering consultancy sector. Typically, "Senior" and "Manager" roles require longer experience (5-10 years or more).
  • In-depth knowledge of construction standards and regulations in Oman and the GCC region.
  • Strong skills in using relevant specialized software (e.g., Project Management software, AutoCAD, Quantity Surveying software like CostX or similar).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a team and lead others when required.
  • Ability to manage time and handle work pressure and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is a strong added advantage.
