Job Overview

The successful Project Manager will be tasked with leading and executing complex, high-value projects, typically within the energy, infrastructure, or environment sectors where Wood has a formidable reputation. You will be the accountable leader for the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning through to final delivery, ensuring objectives for quality, schedule, and cost are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary project team to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Manage all aspects of project implementation, continuously monitoring progress and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure full compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations and standards, both local and international.
• Manage the client relationship, including regular communication, reporting, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Proactively manage project risks, identifying potential challenges and developing mitigation plans.
• Control the project financial budget, monitor costs, and ensure delivery within approved financial frameworks.
• Oversee procurement and contracting processes with suppliers and subcontractors.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) from an accredited university. A Master's degree will be a distinct advantage.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of proven project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading major projects.
• Strong background in the energy (oil & gas), industrial, or major infrastructure project sectors.
• A professional project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of project management standards and best practices (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2).
• Excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards goal achievement.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, in English. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good working knowledge of Qatar's labor laws and regulatory systems.
