Job Overview

The Purchasing Supervisor will be stationed within the hotel's Purchasing Department and will be primarily responsible for overseeing daily purchasing operations to ensure all operational needs for goods and services are met with high quality and at competitive prices. This department serves as a vital link between the hotel and its suppliers, directly contributing to operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Supervise the Purchase Requisition process, ensuring compliance with budget and established policies.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with new suppliers to secure the best terms regarding price, quality, and delivery.
• Manage relationships with existing vendors and monitor their performance to ensure adherence to contracts and specifications.
• Verify the receipt of goods and services as per agreed quantities, specifications, and timelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and vendor databases.
• Work closely with various hotel department heads (e.g., F&B, Rooms, Maintenance) to understand their needs and plan procurement proactively.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports on procurement activity and cost analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all established financial and hotel policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in procurement or supply, with a strong preference for candidates with prior experience in the hospitality or hotel industry.
• Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in computer software, especially Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of ERP or procurement systems is a distinct advantage.
