Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The QA Assistant Manager will be placed within the company's Quality Assurance department, working closely with the QA Manager and the quality team to ensure full compliance with the highest international and local standards. The core responsibilities associated with this role include:

  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective Quality Management System (QMS) in line with regulatory body requirements such as the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), and international standards like GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and relevant ISO standards.
  • Overseeing internal quality review and audit processes, and reviewing documentation (e.g., SOPs, batch records, product specifications).
  • Participating in investigations of deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, ensuring effective and timely implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Ensuring that all production, storage, and distribution activities adhere to approved quality protocols.
  • Reviewing and approving data and specifications for raw materials, intermediate, and finished products.
  • Providing technical support and training to production staff and other employees on quality and compliance matters.
  • Assisting in preparations for regulatory and external agency inspections and audits, ensuring the company's readiness.
  • Preparing and presenting quality performance reports and analyses to senior management.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related life sciences field. A Master's degree may be an added advantage.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) within the pharmaceutical or drug manufacturing industry. This experience should include supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth and comprehensive understanding of GMP, GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), and local UAE regulatory requirements. Knowledge of electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS) is highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication skills (verbal and written) in both English and Arabic. Ability to work under pressure, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount.
  • Professional Certifications: Any recognized professional certifications in quality (e.g., CQA, Six Sigma) would be highly valued.
