Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed QA Supervisor will be placed in a department that is a cornerstone of the company's operations. The primary responsibilities will focus on the direct supervision of daily quality assurance activities to ensure all processes and products comply with internal specifications and local and international regulatory standards, such as those set by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, the World Health Organization (WHO), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Field and administrative duties are expected to include:

• Supervising and guiding the QA team in executing audit, inspection, and follow-up activities.
• Reviewing and approving critical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch production records, analysis reports, and validation/qualification documents.
• Leading and managing deviation and non-conformance investigations, ensuring effective and timely implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Ensuring that storage, production facilities, and environmental monitoring systems (if applicable) comply with GMP requirements.
• Participating in supplier and contractor audit processes and assessing the quality of incoming materials.
• Preparing periodic reports on the performance of the quality system and presenting them to senior management.
• Ensuring departmental readiness for inspections and audits by regulatory bodies.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of quality training programs for staff across various departments.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related science field (e.g., Microbiology, Biochemistry). A Master's degree may be an added advantage.
• Work Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a Quality Assurance role within the pharmaceutical or drug manufacturing industry. This experience must include at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles, local UAE regulations, and international standards. Experience with relevant Quality Management Systems (ISO) is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with specialized quality management software.
