Seeh Al Sarya Engineering LLC is actively recruiting for the position of QC Inspector – Multi Discipline (Multi-Discipline Inspector - MDI) to be based at their project sites in Ibri and Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman. This role presents a significant opportunity for experienced professionals in quality assurance and surveillance within the engineering sector.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Multi-Discipline Inspector will be stationed at the project site and will be primarily responsible for monitoring and ensuring all engineering and construction works comply with approved standard specifications and stringent quality regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Field Surveillance: Conducting regular and continuous inspections of various engineering activities on-site to ensure execution per approved plans and specifications.
  • Material & Equipment Inspection: Verifying the quality of incoming materials and their compliance with required certificates and specifications before use in the project.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Preparing daily inspection reports, logging any Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and documenting all tests and inspections carried out across multiple disciplines (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping).
  • Review & Approval: Reviewing Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and participating in their approval prior to activity commencement.
  • Team Coordination: Working closely with project engineers, subcontractors, and HSE supervisors to ensure an integrated approach to quality achievement.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensuring full compliance with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and any applicable local or project-specific standards.
  • Test Witnessing: Attending and supervising field and laboratory tests for executed works.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be eligible for this critical role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or similar).
  • Professional Certification: Possession of recognized quality control certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector from ASQ or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of practical experience in a similar role as a Quality Inspector or Inspection Technician on engineering or construction projects, preferably within the oil & gas or major industrial projects sector.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of international and local quality standards and specifications, with a strong understanding of construction codes and safety regulations.
  • Personal Skills: Excellent communication and reporting skills (verbal and written), the ability to work under pressure and make independent decisions, and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Geographical Flexibility: Willingness to work at project sites in both Ibri and Nizwa.
