QC Multi Inspector - Experience in Oil & Gas Sector

Exemserv is announcing an opening for a skilled Quality Control Inspector to join its dynamic team in Oman. This role is aimed at field professionals with hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas sector, who possess multi-disciplinary inspection skills to ensure compliance with the highest international standards and technical specifications.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Multi-Discipline QC Inspector will be stationed at a project site within Oman's oil and gas sector. The primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting daily inspection and surveillance activities across various project phases (construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance).
• Ensuring all works, materials, and installations comply with specified technical specifications, quality standards, local and international regulations, and safety requirements.
• Performing multi-disciplinary inspections which may include (but are not limited to): mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, coating & insulation, and welding inspections.
• Reviewing and approving quality documentation such as Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), test certificates, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Coordinating and managing inspection activities with contractors, vendors, and internal work teams.
• Preparing accurate and clear daily and periodic inspection reports, documenting any non-conformances, and overseeing the implementation of corrective actions.
• Participating in pre-task safety reviews (Toolbox Talks) and ensuring all operations are carried out in a safe work environment.
• Using appropriate measurement, testing, and inspection tools and equipment, ensuring their periodic calibration.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, or similar).
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized certifications in quality control or inspection (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector, NDT certifications, or equivalents) is highly preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a similar role (Multi-Discipline QC Inspector) within the Oil & Gas sector. Experience in contracting and construction projects within this industry is essential.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API, ASME), welding codes, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication and technical writing skills (in both Arabic and English). Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail. The ability to work under pressure and in challenging site environments.
• Eligibility: Candidates must possess a valid residency permit for the Sultanate of Oman or be eligible to obtain one.
