- Developing and Implementing QA Systems: Designing and executing comprehensive quality control plans and programs for all hotel departments (Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Health & Safety, Hygiene).
- Conducting Audits and Periodic Evaluations: Performing regular and surprise inspections and reviews of all operational processes and services, identifying gaps and deviations from established standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting and analyzing data related to guest complaints, survey results, and internal audit findings. Preparing detailed reports for senior management with actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Training and Awareness: Working closely with department heads to provide necessary training to team members on quality standards and standardized operating procedures, ensuring widespread understanding and implementation.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Monitoring adherence to all local health, safety, and environmental regulations in Qatar. Identifying potential risks that could impact service quality or the hotel's reputation.
- Leading Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Driving a culture of continuous development and improvement within the hotel by proposing innovative initiatives and solutions to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To be successful in this leadership role, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Advanced or specialized certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO) are a strong advantage.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in quality assurance or operational excellence roles, with a strong preference for experience within the hotel or hospitality industry. This experience should include leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of quality management and auditing systems.
- Personal Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and investigative skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both English and Arabic.
- Ability to lead change and influence others regarding the importance of quality standards.
