Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector will be deployed to work on significant industrial or construction projects within Kuwait. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that all materials, processes, and final products comply with agreed-upon specifications, standards, and relevant local and international regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining project and company reputation and preventing costly errors or safety-related risks.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct routine and continuous inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Use appropriate measurement, testing, and inspection tools (e.g., precision measuring instruments, NDT equipment if relevant to the field) to obtain accurate results.
- Accurately document inspection findings and prepare detailed quality status reports, noting any non-conformities or defects discovered.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and client teams to communicate quality requirements and address any issues that arise.
- Review and inspect work plans and execution methods to ensure alignment with required quality standards.
- Participate in internal quality audits and support the effectiveness of the implemented Quality Management System.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
Educational Background and Experience:
- A Diploma or certificate in an engineering field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering) or a related quality control discipline.
- Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a similar role as a Quality Inspector or QA Technician, preferably within an industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment.
- Practical knowledge of common international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is a significant advantage.
- Experience in a specific sector (e.g., structural steel, piping, electrical, painting & insulation) will be highly regarded based on the specific project requirements.
Personal and Professional Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Integrity and objectivity in making quality-related decisions.
- Proficiency in basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
Work Location and Conditions
- Location: State of Kuwait.
- Job Type: Full-time.
- Work is expected to be on the project site (construction site or industrial facility).
