Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector will be assigned to the plant's quality team and will be primarily responsible for ensuring that all products, materials, and processes conform to specified local and international standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct routine and final inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using appropriate measuring tools and equipment.
- Accurately document inspection results in quality reports and enter data into designated systems.
- Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming materials or products to prevent inadvertent use.
- Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformance incidents and suggest corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure production processes and procedures comply with the company's implemented Quality Management System standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse, and Procurement departments to proactively resolve any quality-related issues.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of existing quality control procedures.
- Strictly adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety procedures in an industrial work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Educational Background and Experience:
- A Diploma in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or Sciences (Chemistry, Physics) or any field related to quality control. Candidates with a high school certificate and extensive, proven experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of practical experience in quality control or inspection within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in sectors such as petrochemicals, manufacturing, metals, or processing industries is a significant advantage.
Personal and Technical Skills:
- Strong practical knowledge of quality control methods and tools (visual inspection, manual and digital measuring instruments, sampling).
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Arabic is essential, English is an advantage).
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong team spirit.
- Knowledge of international quality management systems (e.g., ISO) is a strong plus.
- Physical fitness to work in production areas and conduct inspection rounds.
