Relationship Manager - Premium Banking (Ahli Islamic) in Oman

Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Relationship Manager will be primarily responsible for building and managing a portfolio of High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) clients within the framework of Islamic banking. The core responsibilities include:
- Relationship Management & Development: Cultivating long-term, profitable relationships with existing and potential premium clients, gaining a deep understanding of their complex financial needs and objectives.
- Islamic Banking Solutions: Designing and offering a full suite of Sharia-compliant financial products and services. This includes Murabaha (cost-plus financing), Ijara (leasing), Mudaraba (profit-sharing), Sukuk (Islamic bond) investments, and Islamic savings/investment accounts.
- Target Achievement: Committing to and achieving assigned sales, revenue, and profitability targets for the portfolio by effectively cross-selling investment, credit, and premium service products.
- Exceptional Client Service: Ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service, providing prompt responses to inquiries, and resolving any client issues or complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Compliance & Knowledge: Ensuring full compliance with the regulations of the Central Bank of Oman, the bank's internal policies, and the Sharia principles and standards set by the bank's Sharia Supervisory Board.
- Internal Collaboration: Working closely with supporting departments such as Treasury, Compliance, Operations, and the Sharia Board to deliver seamless and effective solutions to clients.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or Economics. A postgraduate degree or professional certifications (e.g., from the Chartered Institute of Bankers, or Islamic finance certifications like CIFE, CPA) will be a significant advantage.
- Professional Experience: A proven track record of 3 to 5 years in Islamic banking or a conventional bank with a dedicated Islamic window, specifically focusing on client relationship management within the Premium/Private Banking segment.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Islamic banking products, their Sharia structures, and operational mechanisms. Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment in the Omani market.
- Personal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills. Superior analytical abilities to interpret financial data and client needs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competencies: Results-driven, customer-oriented, with high integrity and professionalism. Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
