Job Overview

The Review Design Manager holds a critical role in ensuring engineering excellence and technical quality across all project phases. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the review process of architectural and engineering designs for major projects. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead, develop, and manage the Design Review team, delegating tasks and overseeing team performance.
• Establish and implement rigorous procedures and protocols for reviewing architectural, structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and civil engineering designs.
• Conduct thorough reviews of all design documentation (drawings, calculations, specifications) for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable Saudi Arabian regulations, codes (like the Saudi Building Code - SBC), and international best practices.
• Identify technical risks, gaps, and discrepancies in designs at an early stage and propose effective solutions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, Consulting Engineers, and clients to clarify design requirements and resolve any issues.
• Prepare comprehensive design review reports and deliver technical presentations to management and clients.
• Oversee the final issuance of design documents for construction.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies, materials, and design trends in the industry.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field. A Master’s degree will be a distinct advantage.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in engineering consultancy or design, with a strong focus on design review for large-scale, complex projects.
• Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in a leadership or supervisory role managing technical review teams.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi building codes and regulations (SBC, municipal requirements) and international standards (ASTM, BS, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Revit.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) in English. Arabic language skills are highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership ability to motivate teams and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
