Job Description and Responsibilities

The Risk Specialist will hold a pivotal position within the company's organizational structure, responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving a comprehensive risk management framework. He/She will work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, Technology, and Product to ensure potential risks are proactively identified, assessed, and mitigated.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing risk management policies and procedures aligned with global best practices and the company's strategic objectives.
• Identifying and assessing operational, financial, technological, and compliance risks relevant to the Foodics business model.
• Conducting in-depth data analysis to measure risk levels and proposing actionable mitigation plans.
• Monitoring risk-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and preparing regular reports for senior management outlining the risk landscape and recommendations.
• Collaborating with Product and Development teams to embed risk controls into new products and services from the design phase.
• Ensuring processes comply with relevant local and international regulations, particularly in the financial and technology domains.
• Designing and implementing awareness and training programs for employees on risk culture and its importance.
• Investigating incidents or breaches and developing response and recovery plans.

Qualifications and Core Requirements

Foodics is looking for candidates with a strong, proven background in risk management, preferably within the FinTech, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), or restaurant and hospitality sectors.

Professional Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Engineering. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) or professional risk certifications (e.g., CRM, FRM) are a strong plus.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in risk management (operational/financial/compliance) within a dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment.
• Deep understanding of subscription-based and cloud technology business models.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory frameworks in Saudi Arabia, particularly those related to electronic payments and data protection.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and risk management software.
