Total Risk Protection Company is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Job Description

The appointed Safety Engineer will be integrated into a specialized team responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety systems and procedures. The primary focus will be on preventing accidents and injuries across the various work environments served by the company, which may include construction sites, industrial facilities, or large commercial projects.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update project-specific or client-specific occupational health and safety plans and programs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of work sites to ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations.
  • Identify and assess potential workplace hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare technical reports on workplace incidents (if any), analyze root causes, and formulate recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Design and deliver training programs for project staff and workers on safe work practices and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Review project plans and engineering designs from a safety requirements perspective.
  • Ensure full compliance with the regulations of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) and the occupational safety and health regulations issued by the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a qualified candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any engineering discipline related to the safety field.
  • Professional Certifications: Holding recognized professional safety certifications is a significant advantage, such as:
    • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
    • Other locally or internationally recognized certifications.
  • Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in safety engineering or occupational health, preferably within contracting, industrial, or risk management specialist companies.
  • Personal Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of Saudi and international safety systems and regulations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for reporting and providing guidance.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in basic computer software and engineering design programs.
  • Other Requirements: Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is often required in such professional environments.
