Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will hold a pivotal role within the company's structure, directly responsible for leading and developing the sales team to achieve strategic sales and distribution targets. The core responsibilities for this role include:

  • Leadership & Development: Leading, guiding, and motivating the sales team to achieve their maximum potential. This includes ongoing coaching, performance evaluation, and creating individual development plans for team members.
  • Strategic Planning: Developing and executing effective sales strategies to increase market share and penetrate new markets within Qatar's FMCG sector.
  • Key Account Management: Building and maintaining strong, sustainable relationships with key clients, including major retail chains (supermarkets, hypermarkets) and wholesalers, to ensure customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Target Achievement: Being accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, monitoring field performance, and providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Market Analysis: Conducting continuous market research and analysis to understand consumer trends, competitor activities, and identify growth and development opportunities.
  • Internal Coordination: Working closely with marketing, logistics, and warehouse departments to ensure seamless coordination and timely fulfillment of customer demands.
  • Budget Management: Contributing to the sales budget preparation and ensuring adherence, focusing on delivering results within the defined financial framework.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in sales, with a strong and consistent focus on the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) distribution sector. This experience must include at least 3 years in a leadership role (Sales Manager or Sales Team Lead).
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the retail and distribution landscape in the Gulf region, particularly the Qatari market, with an established professional network among key players in the field.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze sales data and financial metrics, utilizing them for planning and performance measurement.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A higher degree (e.g., MBA) or professional sales certifications will be a strong added advantage.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage for dealing with the local market.
