SAP Functional Expert (Supply Chain Management - SCM)

The Oman Investment Authority (OIA) is actively recruiting for the position of SAP Functional Expert specializing in Supply Chain Management (SCM). Job Overview

The SAP Functional Expert (SCM) will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and providing technical support for the Supply Chain modules within the SAP system at the Oman Investment Authority. This role is central to ensuring the efficiency of logistics, inventory, and procurement operations, directly supporting the Authority's operational and strategic objectives. The incumbent will work within a dynamic team focused on operational excellence and technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Analyze business requirements related to supply chain management and translate them into technical solutions within the SAP system.
  • Configure, maintain, and support relevant SAP SCM modules (such as MM - Materials Management, SD - Sales and Distribution) to meet the Authority's needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Educational Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • Certified SAP certification in relevant modules (especially MM, SD) will be a significant advantage.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar functional role as an SAP Expert or Consultant, with a strong focus on Supply Chain (SCM) modules.
  • Proven experience in implementing, upgrading, or maintaining SAP projects in an enterprise environment.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain, procurement, and logistics business processes.

Personal and Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in core SAP SCM modules (MM, SD) and good knowledge of integrating modules like FI/CO.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Superior communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Customer-service orientation and dedication to providing effective support.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required for work; knowledge of Arabic will be an additional advantage.
