Screen Printing Technician | Speed Line Printing Press

Speed Line Printing Press is actively recruiting for a skilled Screen Printing Technician to join their operations in Doha, Qatar. Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful technician will be integrated into the production team and will be responsible for the core screen printing processes, including screen preparation, printing, and quality control. The primary responsibilities are expected to include:

• Setup & Preparation: Accurately setting up and preparing screen printing frames according to the technical specifications of the required design. This includes stretching, coating, exposure, and washing processes.
• Machine Operation: Efficiently and safely operating automatic and semi-automatic screen printing machines to execute orders on various substrates such as fabric (t-shirts, bags), plastic, cardboard, and other promotional materials.
• Ink Mixing & Preparation: Mixing and preparing printing inks to achieve the required color accuracy as per approved color swatches, ensuring consistency throughout the production run.
• Quality Control: Conducting thorough inspections of prints during and after the printing process to ensure they are free from defects such as misregistration, smudging, or blurring. Contributing to the maintenance of the company's high-quality standards.
• Basic Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and daily cleaning of the equipment and machinery used to ensure operational continuity and efficiency. Reporting any technical malfunctions to the relevant supervisor.
• Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to all occupational health and safety protocols in the work environment, particularly when handling chemicals, inks, and machinery.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience of at least 2-3 years in screen printing within a fast-paced production environment.
• Practical technical knowledge of all stages of the screen printing process: from screen setup to finished product.
• Ability to read and understand job orders and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in handling different types of inks and raw materials (printing on fabrics, plastics, etc.).
• Precision and strong attention to detail to ensure the quality of the final output.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently under time pressure to meet delivery deadlines.
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle equipment.
• Basic knowledge of English for understanding technical instructions is an added advantage.
